The Shuttle
The Shuttle is the suite's shared tray for passing text and files between Zenith apps. Any Zenith app can drop something into it, and any other can pick it up. Zenith Calendar calls it "the suite's shared crossing".
Not a clipboard — a list that stays
A clipboard holds one thing and forgets it. The Shuttle is a list, and it stays put:
- Items stay until you remove them. Using an item never takes it off. Tap one to use it, and it's still there for next time.
- It carries text and files. A file can be of any kind. Its contents stay on your phone, with the app that hosts the Shuttle.
- It's one list for every app. What you drop in from the calendar shows up in the launcher, and the other way round.
Clearing it clears it everywhere
Because there is only one Shuttle, removing an item removes it for every Zenith app. Clearing the whole list empties it in every app at once, not only in the app you're using. The calendar says so before it clears: "the shuttle is ONE crossing, shared by every zenith app".
Where it lives
The Shuttle is kept on the broker — the suite's private shared shelf on your phone — by whichever Zenith app hosts it. Nothing goes to a server. See The Zenith Suite & broker.
Each app opens the Shuttle in its own way and offers its own things to do with an item:
